Rumble—
Visible to the naked eye, the starry sky shattered massively, the firmament cracked, and from within the spatial rift, an indescribably vast Primordial Continent slowly surged forth. It filled the heavens, exuding a majestic aura of an epoch's decline that caused all powerhouses' hearts to surge with immense astonishment.
Emperor's aura!
Upon the Primordial Continent existed the majestic aura of an Emperor. Though faint and sparse, it endured, compelling reverence from all. This almost confirmed that this colossal ancient tomb was indeed an Emperor's Tomb.
The Primordial Continent slowly emerged from the torn spatial rift. Though many eyes gleamed with desire to charge forward first and seize opportunities, they all restrained themselves. For as the continent emerged, it was accompanied by a destructive aura that tore through the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, crushing distant stars into dust. It was terrifying beyond imagination, causing even ancient Great Sages to tremble. Even beings as powerful as them would likely be utterly annihilated, body and spirit destroyed, upon contact.
That Primordial Continent contained the aura of an Emperor, capable of annihilating all things, tangible and intangible.
Thus, a full half-day passed before this majestic, boundless Primordial Continent fully emerged from the void, spanning the endless starry sky. It was colossal, many times larger than numerous stars.
Ye Chen even felt it was no smaller than a major domain of the myriad realms, perhaps even larger. Its sheer size was astonishing.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—
Simultaneously, all the powerhouses originally on the floating continent immediately soared into the sky, charging toward that Primordial Continent. For the true Emperor's Tomb lay upon it, signifying the inheritance of an Emperor. Driven by profit, everyone's eyes turned red with desire.
Ye Chen traversed the sky, whooshing upward faster than anyone else, charging toward the Primordial Continent. He was met by a majestic, primordial ancient aura, its age unimaginably long—perhaps at least an epoch, or even longer.
Almost everyone soon appeared upon the Primordial Continent. Faced with its boundless expanse, though they wished to directly probe with their Spiritual Sense to locate the true Emperor's Tomb, this place was eerie. A faint Emperor's Might permeated the air, imposing severe restrictions on Spiritual Sense, preventing searches across overly vast spaces.
Yet all were inwardly shaken, for the Primordial Continent was not merely a desolate, barren expanse stretching billions of li. Terrible battle scars were visible everywhere.
The land was littered with massive impact craters from fallen stars, and at the continent's edge stood the ruins of a colossal, broken city wall. Moreover, nine towering, sky-piercing pillars stood at various points across the continent. Though fractured, they had remained standing all this time, inspiring awe.
Upon them were too many battle scars: shattered islands, crumbled divine cities, fallen stars from the heavens, dried-up oceans, seas gone dry and rocks turned to dust, the vicissitudes of time. Despite the passage of endless years, it was clear this Primordial Continent must have endured a terrifying great war in its past.
However, the years were far too distant. Time can bury all; not even an Emperor is exempt. Even with boundless lifespan, one cannot achieve true eternal immortality, ultimately succumbing to the passage of time.
The scene before them was the best witness to this.
Naturally, not the entire Primordial Continent was the Emperor's Tomb. The true tomb was hidden somewhere within it.
The powerhouses soared, scattering to every corner of the continent, searching for the tomb's true location.
But this Primordial Continent was simply too vast, and with Spiritual Sense restricted, even the mighty could not locate it quickly. They could only search step by step.
Boom—
Suddenly, the continent trembled, the winds and clouds changed color. A terrifying divine might erupted, drawing the attention of everyone, including Ye Chen. Looking into the distance, they saw over a dozen powerhouses had mistakenly entered a certain desolate plain. There, laws instantly manifested in clusters, Dao principles glowing—and not ordinary laws at that. Remnant power of an Ancient Monarch flowed, immediately annihilating these dozen-plus individuals, reducing them to ashes.
Everyone sucked in a cold breath.
Clearly, despite the passage of endless years, some incredibly powerful formations remained, and they were no ordinary terrifying arrays. Even remnant formations of the Monarch level existed, demanding utmost caution from all.
Who knew what other dangers still lurked upon this Primordial Continent? If one accidentally stepped into a remnant Monarch-level formation, even an ancient Great Sage would meet their end here with regret.
Ye Chen headed toward a ruined city. It was evident this city had once been grand and magnificent. Even now, some incomplete Dao marks lingered, containing a faint, faint Emperor's Might. All this indicated this ruined city might once have been an Imperial City, shattered by bombardment.
This very fact made Ye Chen's heart race even more. What kind of earth-shattering battle had occurred here in the past, that even an Imperial City was destroyed? Could it have been a world-shaking battle between Emperors?
Naturally, this was all unverifiable, for the time was too distant. Many traces of the past had vanished, leaving only such speculation.
In the following time, though all powerhouses were cautious, the Primordial Continent indeed still harbored several fearsome, terrifying formations. That they could survive from the endless past to the present spoke volumes; they were undoubtedly horrifying, difficult for even time to completely erode.
Thus, one after another, nearly a hundred people fell victim, struck by various incomplete formations, their bodies shattered, utterly annihilated into dust. This only deepened everyone's wariness.
Ye Chen walked silently across the continent. He was a grandmaster in the art of formations, and the Heaven-Altering Earth-Changing profound method within the Battle Saint Art, in a sense, aimed at transforming heaven and earth at its peak. It also contained similar dao techniques for measuring the world.
From a high vantage, he looked down upon the entire Primordial Continent, taking in all its topography. The Chaos Saint Soul infant sat cross-legged within the space between his eyebrows, silently deducing and calculating the true location of the Emperor's Tomb using a special method.
His brow constantly glowed, vast streams of information continuously emerging, various great Dao talismans intertwining and shining. After a full half-day, Ye Chen's gaze locked onto a ruined city at the continent's center—the very same ruined Imperial City he had seen earlier. That location had once been a terrain of Nine Dragons Burying the Heavens, the optimal site for burying an Emperor. He suspected the true Emperor's Tomb was right there.
Boom—
Before Ye Chen could verify this, a terrifying roar erupted from within the ruined Imperial City, shaking the entire Primordial Continent.
