"Hun Lao, didn't you say you once followed the Guhuang Great Emperor in roaming the Three Thousand Major and Minor Worlds? You should be very familiar with the various core worlds within. How could you worry about not being able to find the location of the Feixian Continent?"
Hearing Hun Lao's sigh, Ye Yunfei couldn't help but ask.
"I did indeed follow the Guhuang Great Emperor across the Three Thousand Worlds," Hun Lao replied, curling his lip. "But back then, did I ever need to navigate or travel personally? The Guhuang Great Emperor could cross between different worlds in a single step, the span of a single breath. Who needed to laboriously travel through this vast, boundless Chaotic Void like you are now? So I never had to pay attention to the routes, understand?"
"Fair point," Ye Yunfei chuckled.
When Hun Lao was with the Great Emperor, the Emperor handled the navigation.
"But you can rest assured on that point. I know the precise spatial coordinates of the Feixian Continent, and I can find it," Ye Yunfei answered with a smile after hearing Hun Lao's words.
In his previous life as a Heavenly Emperor, Ye Yunfei could traverse different interfaces and worlds with ease. This vast, misty, and boundless Chaotic Void might be a mysterious and dangerous realm for ordinary beings, but for Ye Yunfei, it was familiar to the extreme! Finding the exact position of the Feixian Continent was not difficult at all for him.
The real difficulty lay in the fact that traveling through this confusing Chaotic Void with his current strength was fraught with all sorts of dangers.
The spatial structure and time within the Chaotic Void were not very stable, liable to shatter at any moment and form terrifying spatial-temporal storms or twist and warp into bizarre zones of special spacetime.
The Chaotic Void also housed all sorts of strange creatures, or terrifying experts traveling through it. An encounter might result in being casually slain by them.
Furthermore, the Chaotic Void contained various ancient and mysterious things, as the Chaotic Spacetime had existed for far too long, predating the creation of many of the major and minor worlds, eternal and unchanging.
In short, for beings whose strength was insufficient, venturing into the Chaotic Void was an extremely perilous undertaking.
"If you can indeed find the Feixian Continent's precise location, that's better. It saves us from wandering around wasting time. Alright, tell me its spatial-temporal coordinates immediately. Let me determine the direction. With exact coordinates, finding a specific place in the Chaotic Void is an easy task for me. Our Chaos World Tree Clan originally lived in the Chaotic Void; this is practically our territory, if I may say so," Hun Lao said, pleasantly surprised.
"Your Chaos World Tree Clan is indeed remarkable," Ye Yunfei said with a laugh, then relayed the specific spatial-temporal coordinates of the Feixian Continent to Hun Lao.
"Alright, let's set off."
Subsequently, Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao began journeying through the Chaotic Void towards the Feixian Continent.
"Spatial-temporal storm!"
After an indeterminate period, they suddenly detected violent spatial disturbances ahead. Vast swathes of spacetime instantly collapsed, disintegrated, transforming into endless fragments that surged outwards as terrifying spatial-temporal storms, sweeping in all directions.
"We must change course immediately! Once caught in that, even if we don't die, we'll be skinned alive!" Ye Yunfei frowned, watching the approaching storm.
Rumble…
At this moment, the massive spatial-temporal storm was already surging towards them at an alarming speed.
"Enough talk! Quickly take out that green flying boat left by the Guhuang Great Emperor! It was personally forged by him and should be able to withstand the storm!" Hun Lao roared.
"Right! I almost forgot about that green flying boat!" Ye Yunfei exclaimed, swiftly retrieving the vessel. He and Hun Lao boarded it and sped away in another direction.
The moment they entered the boat, the terrifying storms arrived. It was as if thousands upon thousands of spears and blades simultaneously struck the vessel, producing a dense series of clanging sounds. The entire boat shook violently under the horrific spatial-temporal energy, nearly veering out of control. Fortunately, the flying boat, being personally crafted by the Guhuang Great Emperor, was incredibly sturdy. The storms could not damage it. Though tossed about within, Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao were safe.
Moments later, the green flying boat finally escaped the storm's range and continued its journey.
Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao sat inside, controlling the boat to be prepared for any sudden dangers.
In the following period, they encountered numerous spatial-temporal storms, but fortunately navigated them all with no real mishap.
"Look! There's a white coffin over there!"
At a certain moment, Hun Lao pointed in a direction, exclaiming in shock.
Sure enough, in that location floated a massive white coffin over a hundred meters long, suspended within the misty spacetime, an extremely bizarre sight. The coffin was inscribed with many ancient patterns that had already begun to fade, exuding a sense of immense age. It was impossible to tell how many years it had floated in the Chaotic Void.
"This is likely the coffin of some ancient power," Ye Yunfei said, his expression solemn as he gazed at the white coffin, sensing immense danger within. "It's said that in ancient times, many supremely powerful figures, after their fall, would have their coffins cast into the endless Chaotic Void, effectively burying themselves within it. While such powerhouses might hide the treasures and inheritances from their lifetime within the coffin—objects of immense value—they would also certainly leave many terrifying safeguards behind. It's best not to provoke them lightly."
"Right, I also recall Guhuang Great Emperor mentioning that if you encounter strange coffins in the Chaotic Void, you must never provoke them," Hun Lao nodded. "Let's detour."
Just as they were speaking, a figure suddenly appeared atop the coffin—a plump old man with a benevolent, kindly face, smiling amiably as he observed Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao with friendly eyes.
"Meeting the two of you in this vast void is a rare fate indeed," the plump old man spoke warmly. "If you do not disdain, you may come over and sit. I have a serendipity I can bestow upon you."
"Hurry and leave! This old fellow clearly has ill intentions!" Hun Lao warned immediately, his guard up.
Ye Yunfei urged the flying boat into a sharp turn and sped away.
"Friends, don't rush off. Stay and keep me company," the old man said, extending his right hand. It instantly enlarged, transforming into a gigantic palm that rumbled towards the green flying boat, grabbing for it.
A terrifying force of Laws latched onto the boat, pulling it backwards.
"Old bastard, begone!" Ye Yunfei roared, drawing his Half-Emperor Longsword and slashing backwards.
"A Half-Emperor level treasure!" The old man hesitated for a moment, and in that instant, the green flying boat sped far away.
As time passed, Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao continued forward through the Chaotic Void, encountering all sorts of terrifying dangers along the way.
Once, they nearly got pulled into a rapidly spinning spatial black hole. Legend had it these black holes entombed the terrifying Deities who opened this Chaotic Void in ancient times. Another legend said traversing these black holes and emerging from the other side would let one cross the River of Time, returning to ancient eras or leaping into the distant future. However, even experts at the Heavenly Emperor level dared not venture into these mysterious spatial black holes. Thankfully, Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao possessed strong sensory abilities even within the Chaotic Void, detecting the black hole in advance.
Another indeterminate period passed—it could have been years, decades, or even centuries. The flow of time in the Chaotic Void was extremely unstable, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, so Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao couldn't be sure exactly how long they had been traveling.
Roar!
Suddenly, a terrifying roar echoed, its fearsome sound waves crashing forth like raging tides. Wherever these sound waves reached, spacetime shattered directly, generating massive spatial-temporal storms.
Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao immediately turned the green flying boat and fled.
In the next moment, a terrifying, colossal monster appeared. It was a humanoid creature, walking upright, its body towering like a sacred mountain. It had no hair, but was covered densely with gleaming azure scales. It possessed six thick tails, a highly arched spine lined with a row of sharp bone spikes, and a demonic head. Between its eyes lurked a vertical third eye that flickered open and shut, emitting sinister gazes.
With the monster's appearance, the surrounding time and space seemed to freeze.
Spotting the green flying boat, the monster grinned ferociously, opening its maw. A crimson tongue shot out like lightning, whipping towards the boat.
"Flee!" Hun Lao, startled, immediately poured his power into the flying boat, pushing it to full speed.
But the monster's tongue was too fast. It instantly reached behind the boat, trying to snare it.
Ye Yunfei took out his Half-Emperor Longsword and swung it to block the tongue. A clang echoed, and Ye Yunfei's arms went numb from the impact.
The tongue was barely blocked, leaving a faint red sword mark on its surface.
Roar!
The monster, its tongue stinging, flew into a rage and lunged towards the green flying boat.
"Escape!" Both Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao cried out in alarm.
The two poured their energy into the boat, fleeing desperately.
The monster took great strides, chasing them closely from behind, shaking the surrounding spacetime with each step.
An unknown amount of time later, the monster was still hot on their heels, causing Ye Yunfei and Hun Lao to inwardly lament their misfortune.
Rumble…
Suddenly, booming noises erupted ahead. Bolts of lightning constantly flashed, exploding in the void to form terrifying showers of electric light accompanied by dreadful, destructive auras.
Then, a sea of lightning appeared before them, incandescent and dazzlingly bright to the extreme, illuminating the surroundings into a brilliant white world.
"This is a Chaos Thunder Pool, born from the Chaotic Void!" Ye Yunfei exclaimed in surprise.
"Disaster! That thing has caught up and cut off our retreat! And now we have a Chaos Thunder Pool blocking our path ahead! We're in trouble!" Hun Lao said, his face bitter as he watched the colossal monster closing in from behind.
"Perhaps… this is a serendipity for me," Ye Yunfei murmured to himself, eyeing the Chaos Thunder Pool ahead.
"A serendipity? You're not thinking of targeting this Chaos Thunder Pool, are you? Don't blame me for not warning you—a Chaos Thunder Pool is formed from the convergence of the purest lightning energy and Laws within the Chaotic Void. It's one of the most terrifying destructive energies in existence," Hun Lao exclaimed, startled by Ye Yunfei's words.
"Others may fear it, but I do not. I have been searching for such pure lightning energy," Ye Yunfei replied.
Among the nine totems of Ye Yunfei's Nine Palaces Totem Wheel was the Divine Beast Thunder Marsh, capable of devouring lightning energy and Laws.
Moreover, at this moment, Ye Yunfei recalled a body-refining technique from his memories—the Thunder God Tyrant Body Art! Ye Yunfei had already cultivated the Heavenly Demon Blood-Refining Body Art Tempering Art to the seventeenth layer, but the subsequent parts were incomplete, preventing further progress. His Greenwood Emperor Body had also reached its highest realm, Transcendence. Therefore, Ye Yunfei had long planned to find another body-refining technique. Now, seeing the dazzling thunder pool before him, he thought of the Thunder God Tyrant Body Art!
"Not good! That thing has caught up and is about to attack us!" At this moment, the monster from behind had closed in on the green flying boat, ready to strike.
"Don't be afraid. We'll continue forward. Hun Lao, you enter the Heavenly Dao Pagoda. This Chaos Thunder Pool likely cannot harm it," Ye Yunfei instructed.
"What about you?" Hun Lao asked.
"I plan to use this Chaos Thunder Pool for cultivation," Ye Yunfei declared.
"Too dangerous. You must think this through carefully," Hun Lao urged.
"It's fine. Great rewards come with great risks!" Ye Yunfei replied.
With that, he put away the green flying boat and strode towards the Chaos Thunder Pool ahead.
