"Master, Sister Qing Luo is so powerful!"
Hu Miao couldn't help but exclaim after hearing Su Qingluo's resounding, unrestrained roar, as Ye Yunfei reappeared amidst the starry expanse far away.
"Master, the woman you've set your sights on truly is extraordinary!" Hu Miao added.
"What are your plans now?" Hun Lao spoke up. "The headquarters of Reincarnation Palace is surrounded by several Earth Immortal experts. Trying to force your way in would be extremely difficult. Here's an idea: let Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm think of a way. Perhaps he can help us avoid the notice of those Earth Immortals and slip into the Reincarnation Palace headquarters undetected."
"Perhaps I need not be in such a hurry to enter the Reincarnation Palace headquarters," Ye Yunfei said after thinking for a moment, gazing at the distant Reincarnation Realm. "The headquarters is already besieged by forces from several major factions. The next step is clear: the people of Reincarnation Palace will sally forth for an intense war. Even if I make it inside, my presence wouldn't be of much additional use. I would still have to join their forces when they charge out to kill the enemy. It's better for me to remain outside. I might come up with a more effective method of dealing with the enemy."
"A better method?" Hun Lao was taken aback. "What have you thought of?"
"We can figure out a way to weaken the enemy's strength," Ye Yunfei said after some consideration.
"How do we weaken them?" Hun Lao asked.
"Fight fire with fire," Ye Yunfei replied with a smile. "Those major forces have dispatched troops to surround Reincarnation Palace's headquarters and are attacking its various Branch Strongholds everywhere. We can do the same thing. In any case, by intervening to help Reincarnation Palace multiple times, I'm already a marked man in the eyes of those factions. The enmity between us is deep, with nothing left to hold back. If that's the case, let's make a magnificent stir."
"As you wish," Hun Lao nodded in agreement. "You're right. Since you are determined to help Qing Luo, a life-and-death battle with those major factions is unavoidable in the end. No need for restraint. Stir things up however you see fit."
"Alright, let's first go in search of Reincarnation Palace's Branch Strongholds, gather their scattered forces spread across the outside world, concentrate our power, and together strike at the outposts of those major factions. This will also apply pressure on them, relieving some burden on Reincarnation Palace," Ye Yunfei elaborated after further thought.
"Master, that's an excellent plan! Let's do it!" Hu Miao clapped her hands in approval. Her nature delighted in exciting events; the more of a commotion Ye Yunfei stirred, the more she supported it.
Just then, Ye Yunfei faintly heard a voice from the distant starry expanse: "I seem to sense that boy's aura. He should be over there!"
Ye Yunfei immediately perceived several figures speeding toward his current location from afar.
"Those Earth Immortal experts have each sent a Clone to find me. Let's go," Ye Yunfei said. His senses confirmed the approaching figures were indeed the Clones of the Earth Immortals from before. While their main bodies were besieging Su Qingluo, unwilling to let Ye Yunfei go, they had dispatched Clones to hunt him down.
I wonder how long it will be before I have the strength to face these Earth Immortal experts, Ye Yunfei thought to himself.
He then activated his Space Teleportation Token and vanished.
A moment later, four figures of astonishing speed rushed over and landed on the spot.
"It's that boy's aura! He was just here and has fled again!" one of the four Earth Immortals gritted his teeth, having sensed Ye Yunfei's lingering presence.
"I sense his aura moved off in this direction! Let's chase!" a tonsured ascetic clad in kasaya robes said after careful perception, pointing. This ascetic hailed from the Western Church and was an intermediate-stage Earth Immortal! His sensory abilities were fearsome. Although Ye Yunfei had teleported away via the token, leaving no discernible trail, the ascetic still managed to perceive the direction Ye Yunfei had gone.
The next instant, the four Earth Immortals vanished into the distance.
The starry void reclaimed its deathly silence.
...Rumble...
Not long after, a crack suddenly tore open at a certain point in this starry expanse, revealing a pitch-black spatial passage. Shattered fragments of space and time billowed out from the passage, shaking the entire area so violently it seemed on the verge of collapsing.
"This spacetime really is of a low level," a clear voice suddenly resonated from within the spatial passage, echoing through the starry void. It was the voice of a man. "The energy and laws present here cannot compare to the spacetime outside."
"I heard that long, long ago, the level of this spacetime was the same as the outside world, with equally advanced energy and laws," a woman's voice sounded. "But the Dark Faction set their sights on it, using it to nurture some sort of seed. They constantly drained its energy, laws, and even the essence of the lifeforms within. Over time, the energy and laws of this spacetime began to deplete, causing it to become increasingly degraded."
"Forget it, let's not dwell on that question for now," the man said. "Our primary mission entering this spacetime is to find Uncle Liu and deliver the letter."
"It has been countless years since I last saw Uncle Liu," the woman said with a touch of longing. "I miss him a little."
"You might miss Uncle Liu, but it's hard to say whether he'll be happy or angry to see us," the man replied. "In any case, we must be careful when we find him. If he decides to make a move against us, we should flee immediately."
"However, Uncle Liu has stayed in this low-level spacetime for such a long era, unable to obtain the advanced energy and laws from outside," the man continued after a moment's thought. "His strength has likely diminished somewhat. And after our rigorous cultivation these past years, our power has greatly increased. Perhaps by joining forces, we can hope to exchange a few moves with Uncle Liu."
"What? You actually intend to fight Uncle Liu? Have you forgotten how terrifying his strength was in the past? Given our current level, a single exhale from Uncle Liu could probably annihilate us both! Utterly overestimating ourselves!" the woman exclaimed in shock.
Soon after, a young man and woman emerged from the spatial passage. The man was tall and slender, with features as fine as polished jade, eyes like brilliant stars, and a noble bearing reminiscent of a Heavenly God descending to the mortal world. The woman's skin was crystal-clear and luminous, as if carved from mutton-fat jade. Her flawless, beautiful face, paired with jewel-like eyes, gave off a dreamlike aura.
"Although this spacetime is low-level, the number of worlds it contains is truly not small. Let me search and see which world Uncle Liu is in," the man said, taking out a yellow talisman paper and lighting it.
