A short, elderly man also turned and fled; he was none other than the Wudu Xiantong from the Five Immortals Sect. This Wudu Xiantong was cunning by nature. During the battle, he had always refused to charge at the front. As soon as he sensed something was amiss, he would be the first to escape. That's how he had survived until now.
There had been a total of nineteen Earth Immortals combined from the Dark Faction and those from the Main World. Ten had been killed, leaving nine remaining! These nine Earth Immortals had already lost all will to fight. One by one, they began to flee!

The entire perilous land was besieging these nine Earth Immortals and preventing their escape.
As for the other Dark Faction troops within the bounds of this perilous land, they had mostly perished already, with very few remaining. This battle was already a decisive victory for Ye Yunfei's side.

Old Man Chu and the other Earth Immortal experts from the Light Faction also pounced like wolves and tigers.
The nine opposing Earth Immortal experts were already struggling to cope with the attacks from the Yingui Treasury Perilous Land. Faced now with the frenzied assaults of these Light Faction experts, how could they possibly withstand it? Moments later, three more Earth Immortals were killed.

Just before death, an Earth Immortal from the Western Sect let out a desperate roar.

Suddenly, the body of a Dark Faction Advanced Earth Immortal exploded, transforming into countless wisps of black fog that drilled into the soil. It was an extremely high-level escaping technique!

After the battle ended, Chan Master Tianwu walked over to Ye Yunfei, laughing loudly.
Old Man Chu also approached, heaping praise on Ye Yunfei.
"You two seniors flatter me too much! Thank you both for arriving so promptly to rescue me."
Ye Yunfei quickly said. He knew that the reason this group of Light Faction members had come to this world was surely because Old Man Chu and Chan Master Tianwu had learned of his peril and brought people to his aid. He then thanked each of the other Light Faction Earth Immortal experts in turn.
"Ye Yunfei, you now possess battle strength at the Earth Immortal level. From now on, you are counted as one of our Light Faction's experts who can stand alone and hold his ground! The World-Destroying War has now officially begun. In many of the worlds within the Three Thousand Worlds, our Light Faction forces are engaged in bloody combat against the Dark Faction. You, too, must now take part in this large-scale war! Given your strength and various methods, you will certainly play a massive role! In short, participating in the World-Destroying War and eradicating the Dark Faction is the duty of every member of our Light Faction. No one can evade it!"
Old Man Chu said to Ye Yunfei, his tone solemn.
"Senior, rest assured, I will absolutely not evade it. However, right now, I still need to rescue some people. I have a number of people who have fallen into the hands of the Dark Faction or some of those Main World forces. I cannot just ignore them; I must go and rescue them."
Ye Yunfei replied.
After the battle ended, Ye Yunfei immediately released his Soul Power energy to perform a detailed sensing sweep of this world, searching for traces of Steward Huang. However, to Ye Yunfei's disappointment, he had not found Steward Huang.
In fact, from the moment he entered this world until now, Ye Yunfei and the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm had been constantly sensing and searching for Steward Huang, yet they had found nothing.
"Steward Huang is not in this world."
Old Man Chu, seeming to know that Ye Yunfei was searching for Steward Huang, spoke up.
"Senior, do you then know where Steward Huang is?"
Hearing Old Man Chu's words, Ye Yunfei was overjoyed.
"I don't know temporarily, but I have already dispatched experts to investigate Steward Huang's whereabouts, and we have already received some initial information. Shortly after Steward Huang left our Light Faction base, he encountered pursuit from forces of the Dark Faction and some of the major Main World powers. He fled for some distance, and finally encountered a few Dark Faction Earth Immortals. Just when those few Dark Faction experts were about to attack Steward Huang, one of our Light Faction Earth Immortals happened to arrive on the scene. After a hard-fought battle, that Light Faction Earth Immortal was wounded and fled. Steward Huang was killed by the Dark Faction Earth Immortals. However, before he died, Steward Huang handed over a spatial treasure he carried on his person to that Earth Immortal from our Light Faction. All the people you wish to save were inside that spatial treasure."
Old Man Chu explained.
"What about that Light Faction Earth Immortal? Where is he now?"
Ye Yunfei asked anxiously.
"His whereabouts are currently unknown. From what I know, after that Earth Immortal escaped, he was pursued by Dark Faction Earth Immortal experts. His current location is unknown."
Old Man Chu shook his head.
"As for why there are so many traces of Steward Huang's Soul Body aura in this world, that was a trap specially set for you by those Dark Faction Earth Immortals. All the aura of Steward Huang's Soul Body within this world was simulated by the Dark Faction Earth Immortal experts."
Old Man Chu continued.
"So that's what happened! The Dark Faction!"
Ye Yunfei nodded, his gaze thick with killing intent. His hatred for the Dark Faction had risen another notch.
"I have already dispatched many of our Light Faction members to search everywhere for that Earth Immortal. Once there is news, I will inform you immediately. Worrying about it now is no use."
