What level of flight treasure is this? Its speed is terrifying!
Before long, Ye Yunfei discovered that the spacecraft's speed was alarmingly fast—at least ten times faster than his usual travel speed using Space Teleportation Tokens. He couldn't help but marvel inwardly.
"Could this be a Divine-level flight treasure?" the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm couldn't resist transmitting his voice to Ye Yunfei.
"It wouldn't be strange if it was," Ye Yunfei replied. "After all, Divine-level treasures frequently appear in the Chaotic Void Sea nowadays."
"A Divine-level treasure must be activated by a Deity to unleash its full power. Although Demigods can also use Divine-level treasures, they cannot exert their true might. This fellow's strength is unfathomable, but I estimate he shouldn't be a Deity—likely still a Demigod. The speed of this spacecraft controlled by a Demigod is already this astonishing. If a Deity were to control it, the speed would be simply unimaginable," Hun Lao said.
A few days later, the spacecraft arrived in an extremely remote part of the Chaotic Void. This area of the void looked desolate, with no world clusters appearing even at vast spatial distances—a space seldom visited by living beings.
Finally, the spacecraft stopped at a certain empty spot in the void. As far as the eye could see, everything was shrouded in a grayish haze. The flow of space-time here seemed somewhat eerie.
The middle-aged man led Ye Yunfei out of the spacecraft to a specific location in the void. With a wave of his hand, the space ahead began to churn violently. In the next moment, a spatial entrance materialized before them.
"Alright, let's enter," the middle-aged man said to Ye Yunfei, then took the lead toward the spatial entrance.
"This spatial entrance is hidden too securely. I couldn't sense it at all earlier," Hun Lao exclaimed in admiration.
"I couldn't sense it either. If he hadn't opened this entrance, even if I came here, I would never have found it," the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm also marvelled.
Both Hun Lao and the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm possessed exceptionally powerful spatial perception abilities. Yet even they couldn't sense its presence, illustrating just how concealed that spatial entrance was.
"That elder wants to see you, but who knows his reasons? In any case, you must be extra vigilant. Trust no one lightly," Hun Lao warned Ye Yunfei via sound transmission.
"Understood. I'll be careful," Ye Yunfei nodded.
Soon, Ye Yunfei followed the middle-aged man into the spatial entrance. In the next instant, he found himself within a gray, misty world.
This world appeared dilapidated and crumbling, with shattered fragments of space-time everywhere. Occasionally, broken fragments of land drifted slowly through the space ahead.
Ye Yunfei also saw many shattered fragments of treasures scattered throughout the world's space. Although these fragments were incomplete, they still radiated brilliant divine light, and formidable treasure auras emanated from them.
Following behind the middle-aged man, Ye Yunfei passed by some of these treasure fragments from time to time. Feeling the fearsome treasure auras, an expression of shock appeared on his face.
"These are all Divine-level treasures, but they've been shattered, their power mostly lost. However, this region of space-time once witnessed a Deity-level war. The residual divine energy and Laws nurtured these shattered fragments, so they still retain considerable offensive power," the middle-aged man suddenly explained.
"So that's the case. Thank you for clarifying, Senior," Ye Yunfei hurriedly replied, his heart even more astonished. This region had witnessed a Deity-level war? The fact that so many Divine-level treasures were shattered gave an idea of how terrifying that war must have been.
Suddenly, Ye Yunfei's gaze fell upon a distant part of space where an enormous corpse floated, occupying a vast area. The energy pressure it emitted made Ye Yunfei feel somewhat suffocated.
"That's... a Divine Corpse!" Ye Yunfei was utterly astounded.
"There's actually a Divine Corpse here! That's terrifying! Although it no longer has consciousness, a Divine Corpse still possesses horrific power and can easily crush Demigods!" Hun Lao also spotted the distant Divine Corpse and immediately transmitted his voice to Ye Yunfei with shock.
"That is indeed a Divine Corpse. It has been here for a very long time. Divine Corpses are generally difficult to decompose because every Deity's body once integrated various Great Daos and Laws, making them part of the physical form. Or you could say, a Deity's corpse also belongs to the Great Daos and Laws, and is extremely resistant to dissolution," the middle-aged man spoke, seeming to know Ye Yunfei was shocked by the distant Divine Corpse.
"Senior, did many Deities fall in the war from back then?" Ye Yunfei cautiously asked.
"Yes. Although Deities may seem lofty and unassailable in the eyes of ordinary beings, they too can fall," the middle-aged man nodded.
Not long after, Ye Yunfei saw another Divine Corpse—or more accurately, half a Divine Corpse. Only its upper torso lay there horizontally, emanating a terrifying aura that swept through endless space-time.
After that, Ye Yunfei spotted even more Divine Corpses—some intact, others broken—along with numerous shards of Divine treasures. Shock turned to apprehension, for Ye Yunfei had already experienced the terror of Divine Corpses. If any of them suddenly activated, he likely wouldn't be a match.
There was no avoiding it; Deities were beings of a higher life stratum. Even just their corpses could be horrifyingly powerful to ordinary living beings.
"The Deity-level war that happened here back then must have been truly terrible, to cause so many Deities to perish," Hun Lao couldn't help but sigh.
"Be careful. Looking at those Divine Corpses makes me uncomfortable. Best to keep our distance. If any of them suddenly leaps up and goes berserk, we're no match," the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm also observed the Divine Corpses and spoke to Ye Yunfei with a trembling voice.
"Don't worry. These Divine Corpses won't harm you. After all, I invited you here. If other strangers ventured here, it would be quite dangerous. Offending these Divine Corpses has rather severe consequences," seeing Ye Yunfei's alert expression, the middle-aged man couldn't help but chuckle.
"Please forgive my anxiety, Senior. These Divine Corpses do indeed exert immense pressure," Ye Yunfei hurriedly replied.
Soon after, a relatively large expanse of land appeared ahead. Though it looked somewhat fragmented and incomplete, it seemed to contain very high-level energy and Laws. A hazy, seven-colored luminous curtain enveloped the sky above the land, formed from energy and Laws of extreme concentration.
"That's a decent-looking piece of land. Seems like a treasure suitable for cultivation," the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm commented.
"Young man, we have arrived," the middle-aged man said with a smile, leading Ye Yunfei to land on this piece of land.
Then the middle-aged man led Ye Yunfei across the land. Ye Yunfei was astonished to find that many living beings resided here—no different from ordinary continents in the outside world. Mountains, rivers, plains, forests, deserts—various terrains abounded. Many grand cities sprawled across the ground, appearing magnificent.
"Look! Over there's a group of Demigods. At the very least, three of them are Perfected Demigods," Hun Lao casually sensed his surroundings and discovered several dozen Demigods seated cross-legged atop a distant mountain, seemingly gathering.
"Demigods are everywhere on this land. Its overall strength is quite formidable," Hun Lao transmitted to Ye Yunfei.
"There's another group of Demigods over there! And over there! That city too has many Demigod auras! It feels like Demigods are everywhere you step on this land!" the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm exclaimed in shock.
Upon landing on this land, both Hun Lao and the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm immediately released their Soul Power to perceive their surroundings. To their surprise, Demigods indeed seemed ubiquitous here.
These Demigods were also very curious about Ye Yunfei's arrival; waves of Soul Power continuously probed toward Ye Yunfei's location.
Not long after, the middle-aged man brought Ye Yunfei to the central area of the land—a lofty mountain—and arrived before a cave dwelling on the mountainside.
"Such a high-level formation is set up around this cave dwelling. I can't even decipher it!" Just as he reached the cave's entrance, Ye Yunfei discovered a sophisticated formation blocking the way, startling him slightly.
Though Ye Yunfei could sense the formation's presence, he couldn't analyze it further. Given his current mastery of Formations, encountering one he couldn't perceive indicated its extremely high level—beyond his current comprehension.
Standing outside the cave entrance, Ye Yunfei could distinctly feel a heavy, ancient sense of time and space emanating from within.
"Enter."
A voice weathered by time transmitted from within the cave.
"Young man, you may go in. I won't be joining," the middle-aged man said to Ye Yunfei.
"Very well," Ye Yunfei nodded, stepping forward toward the cave entrance.
Having come this far, he certainly had to meet the one inside. There was no reason to hesitate.
With a low rumble, the cave door slowly swung open, and the formation created an entrance.
Ye Yunfei walked through the cave entrance, and a massive teleportation force surged over him.
In the next moment, he found himself standing within an ancient, desolate expanse of space-time. In the distance, an elder sat cross-legged.
Ye Yunfei recognized this elder at a glance—he was the enormous figure who had suddenly appeared in the Gudao World Cluster earlier, confronting the Watchers. So while the elder before him appeared ordinary, Ye Yunfei recognized his aura.
"I can't perceive him! My Soul Power energy can't even approach his body; a mysterious force blocks it, not letting it advance a single step," Hun Lao transmitted to Ye Yunfei.
"I can't perceive him either. But I recognize his aura. Don't try to perceive him any further. This senior's power is terrifying. If we inadvertently offend him, the consequences would be unimaginable. Let's all refrain from trying to perceive him," Ye Yunfei replied.
"Young man, sit before me."
The elder, who had been resting with eyes closed, slowly opened them after Ye Yunfei arrived. His gaze fell upon Ye Yunfei, appraising him as he spoke in an exceptionally calm voice.
"Thank you, Senior," Ye Yunfei came before the elder, sat down cross-legged, and respectfully replied.
"Young man, back in the Gudao World Cluster, facing those Watchers, you stepped forward. That was commendable," the elder praised.
"You overpraise me, Senior. The reason I intervened in the Gudao World Cluster was because the Guan Zhu previously showed me great kindness, so I acted to repay that debt," Ye Yunfei responded.
"Nevertheless, under such circumstances, as a junior, your willingness to act without hesitation is already remarkable. Moreover, possessing such strength at your age proves your talent is excellent. Our Chaotic Void Sea truly needs young talents like you," the elder spoke with an appreciative tone.
"Thank you for your praise, Senior. May I ask why you summoned me?" Ye Yunfei inquired.
"No rush. Young man, tell me, how much do you understand about this Chaotic Void Sea?" The elder smiled and asked instead.
"About this Chaotic Void Sea?" Ye Yunfei was taken aback.
"Indeed. Although you have always lived within this Void Sea, do you truly understand it?" The elder nodded, asking again.
"Senior... I suppose I don't understand the Chaotic Void Sea very well. Or, I have some understanding, but not much," Ye Yunfei pondered for a moment before replying.
"Exactly. In truth, you do not understand this Chaotic Void Sea. What you likely know is merely that the Chaotic Void Sea is an extremely vast expanse of space-time," the elder said.
"Roughly that," Ye Yunfei thought about it, then nodded.
"Young man, your understanding of the Chaotic Void Sea is correct. For beings like us who dwell within the Void Sea, it is indeed a tremendously vast, boundless expanse of space-time. But in the eyes of certain individuals, our Chaotic Void Sea is merely a prison—a large-scale prison. All beings living within this Void Sea are sinners, or the descendants of sinners," the elder explained slowly.
"What?! The Chaotic Void Sea is a large prison? And we are all sinners? Senior, what is the meaning of this?" Ye Yunfei could not help but be utterly shocked.
"Yes. Our Void Sea is indeed viewed as a prison, and we living beings within it are seen as sinners. As for those Watchers... they are the jailers, sent by certain powerful forces to supervise and manage us sinners," the elder affirmed, his tone carrying a sense of indignation.
"Senior, which powerful forces do you refer to? Where do those Watchers originate from? Why is our Chaotic Void Sea regarded as a large prison?" Hearing the elder's words, while astonished, Ye Yunfei was also intensely curious.
This was the first time he had ever heard such a claim. Moreover, given this elder's terrifying power, he wouldn't likely deceive Ye Yunfei.
"The reason the Chaotic Void Sea is viewed as a prison, and we are seen as sinners or descendants of sinners, surely has its own causes. Listen as I explain step by step," the elder continued.
"This junior is all ears!" Ye Yunfei immediately replied.
