Ye Yunfei soon noticed that the Heavenly God Coffin was moving faster and faster. At first, most could keep up, but gradually, many began to fall behind.
Only those with exceptional movement speed or advanced flying treasures were able to remain in its wake.
Ye Yunfei simply entered his flying ship, activated it, and trailed along.
He observed that besides his own ship, many others were following as well, and these ships were nearly identical to his. Without a doubt, these were also Restorers.
"Do you think those over there are Watchers?" Hun Lao suddenly pointed at a distant ship and asked Ye Yunfei.
Ye Yunfei noticed that this ship's design and the aura it emitted were clearly different from his own.
"That ship definitely has extremely profound seals carved within it. It's a high-grade flying treasure. Moreover, I faintly sense familiar auras inside—these could be from Watchers I've encountered before," Hun Lao continued.
Having faced Watchers many times, Hun Lao had memorized the auras of several.
"They should be Watchers," Ye Yunfei nodded.
Aside from the Watchers' ships, a large number of others were also trailing the Heavenly God Coffin. Naturally, those who could stay close without falling behind were all extraordinary individuals.
The main reason so many followed was the legend that the Heavenly God Coffin might contain Heavenly God-level inheritances and treasures. Who wouldn't desire such priceless treasures?
The Heavenly God Coffin continued its journey into the boundless, distant void.
Upon its lid, the faint, hazy figure stood with its hands clasped behind its back, exuding an aura of terror. Wherever it passed, the void fell silent.
Everyone assumed this figure was likely the master of the Heavenly God Coffin—a Heavenly God. Though, it was probably only a Soul Power imprint or a Soul Clone left behind.
"What is it searching for? Where is it trying to go?"
For a full day and night, the Heavenly God Coffin kept moving through the endless void.
During this time, many Demigods repeatedly discussed joining forces to intercept it.
Because within this coffin most likely lay the treasures and legacy of a Heavenly God. Though everyone knew the Heavenly God Coffin was incredibly dangerous, wealth has always stirred greed. The legacy and treasures of a Heavenly God were far too precious, enough to drive anyone mad with desire.
"My fellow cultivators, I suggest we act together! Let's try to stop the Heavenly God Coffin and split the treasures within. If it escapes into some hidden forbidden realm later, we'll lose our chance," someone finally could not hold back and loudly proposed.
"These fools truly don't know the meaning of death, daring to provoke a Heavenly God's coffin. Even living Deities might not dare to offend a coffin that truly entombs a Heavenly God's corpse," Hun Lao sneered coldly.
Possessing the racial memories of the Chaotic World Tree, Hun Lao understood just how terrifying a Heavenly God could be.
Nevertheless, a group of exceptionally bold Demigods had already begun to move, each accelerating as they charged forward.
"Friends, let's focus on long-range attacks! Don't get too close, that way we can avoid danger. If danger appears, we can flee immediately," a tall, burly man declared in a sonorous voice.
"Don't be stingy with your treasures! Bring them all out and use them to bombard the coffin lid to see if we can blast it open. I think if we're willing to invest—using enough treasures without regard for their loss—we might just be able to crack this coffin open!" another voice followed up.
Boom! Boom!
The Demigods began their assault, hurling out treasures one after another, activating them and launching them toward the coffin lid of the Heavenly God Coffin.
Great hands of energy also continuously materialized above the coffin, slamming down upon it.
To everyone's astonishment, however, all the treasures and attacks that landed on the Heavenly God Coffin were like clods of earth thrown into the sea—there was no visible reaction whatsoever.
The figure on the lid remained standing with hands clasped behind its back, motionless.
Ye Yunfei noticed that none of the treasures or attacks could get near the figure. The moment they approached, they were automatically repelled.
"That must be just a Soul Power imprint. To think a mere imprint possesses such power… Heavenly Gods truly are overwhelmingly strong," Ye Yunfei stared at the figure standing serenely and couldn't help but marvel inwardly.
"This coffin is too sturdy! Our attacks seem to have little effect!" someone shouted.
"The coffin of a Deity is naturally hard, of course it won't shatter with a single blow. Be patient and keep attacking! Besides, I think we can get a little closer. After all, it's just a coffin. We don't need to fear it too much!" some of the Demigods, confident in their skills and courage, yelled back.
Soon, a few Demigods led the way, moving ever closer to the Heavenly God Coffin, wielding various treasures and relentlessly smashing them against its lid. These daring attackers not only had nerve, but their actual strength was quite impressive. Now, fighting without restraint, their attacks were ferocious and unrestrained.
Gradually, more and more people joined the offensive, and the crowd steadily closed the distance to the Heavenly God Coffin as they attacked.
A few of the bravest even drew near to within a mere dozen yards of the coffin's tail.
"These fools are far too bold. They truly think a coffin left by a Heavenly God is something they, mere Demigods, can provoke?" Hun Lao spoke up at this point, his tone laced with derision.
"Hun Lao, just how strong are Heavenly Gods?" Hu Miao asked curiously.
"Heavenly Gods are Deities who possess a fruit-seat, while ordinary Deities do not. Only by possessing such a seat can one truly transcend a region of the void and roam at will. As for combat power… it would probably take a Heavenly God but the snap of a finger to kill an ordinary Deity," Hun Lao explained.
"That's incredible! Even an ordinary Deity is already far beyond our reach—impossible for us to defeat. To think Heavenly Gods are that much stronger than ordinary Deities… It's simply unimaginable!" Hu Miao exclaimed in awe.
"Heavenly Gods… shall not be offended."
A clear voice abruptly resounded in everyone's ears.
"Not good! Run!"
Though the voice sounded ordinary, its volume not particularly loud, it sent chills down the spines of everyone present. Everyone recognized it as likely coming from the figure atop the Heavenly God Coffin.
Until now, this figure had remained motionless and silent, simply standing there with hands clasped behind its back, staring ahead like a statue. Gradually, people had begun to pay it little mind.
Unexpectedly, it had now spoken.
Hearing the figure speak, everyone was terror-stricken and instinctively began retreating.
At this very moment…
Boom…
A visible ripple of energy suddenly emanated from the Heavenly God Coffin, spreading outwards in all directions like a stone thrown into calm waters.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
Those unfortunate souls who were relatively close, caught within this ripple, stiffened instantly as if petrified. Then, their bodies burst like soap bubbles, vanishing into nothingness.
Regardless of their strength, anyone touched by this ripple met a single fate—utter annihilation. In less than a single breath, over twenty Demigods disintegrated!
What was even more terrifying was that not even a trace of blood mist remained. All treasures, including spatial rings, vanished completely without a trace, as if they had never existed.
"Too terrifying! Run!" Those yet unaffected were terrified out of their wits, turning and fleeing.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
The ripple continued to expand, instantly obliterating over a dozen more Demigods, reducing them to nothingness before it finally subsided and dissipated.
Boom…
Throughout this, the Heavenly God Coffin did not halt. It continued to surge forward with a thunderous noise.
The figure on its lid also maintained its previous posture—hands behind its back, unmoving, gazing ahead as if peering into the distance.
"Heavenly Gods are indeed unimaginably terrifying! If we had joined the attack earlier, we'd likely have shared the fate of those unfortunate souls," Hu Miao gasped, sticking out her tongue.
"Deities are not to be provoked, and Heavenly Gods even less so. In comparison, we are but minor characters," Hun Lao said with a bitter smile.
By now, those with weaker nerves had fled far away, no longer daring to follow behind the Heavenly God Coffin.
Ye Yunfei immediately had his flying ship slow down and increase its distance, not daring to stay too close any longer. If another one of those ripples surged forth, it would be catastrophic.
Besides Ye Yunfei, many still courageously trailed the Heavenly God Coffin from afar. Ye Yunfei guessed among them were Restorers, Watchers, and experts from powerful forces or large families with considerable strength.
For the next day and night, Ye Yunfei continued to track the Heavenly God Coffin.
He eventually found himself in a desolate, remote part of the void. Looking out, there were no world clusters or worlds in sight. Everything was a uniform, misty grey, seemingly devoid of any life or vitality.
The Heavenly God Coffin's entrance shattered the tranquility of this desolate void.
Ye Yunfei surveyed his surroundings, realizing he had never been here before and had no idea where this place was.
Further ahead was a chaotic expanse blanketed by thick fog. Not only was it impossible to see clearly, even divine sense couldn't penetrate to perceive anything within.
"We might be at the edge of the Chaotic Void Sea. The Chaotic Void Sea is a fractured, incomplete void—a fragment of the true Chaotic Void Sea from ancient times. We've likely reached the border of this fragment," Hun Lao speculated.
Hun Lao was more sensitive to spatial fluctuations than Ye Yunfei.
"The edge… What does the Heavenly God Coffin want here? Could it be… trying to leave our part of the void?" Hearing Hun Lao's words, this thought suddenly occurred to Ye Yunfei.
"Look! The Heavenly God Coffin has stopped ahead!" The Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm suddenly cried out.
Indeed, the Heavenly God Coffin had now stopped. Ahead lay a vast, impenetrable fog, impossible to sense.
Ye Yunfei hastily brought his flying ship to a halt.
The others who had followed the Heavenly God Coffin here also stopped one after another.
Ye Yunfei noticed several identical ships stopping nearby—clearly also Restorers who, like himself, were on a mission to track the Heavenly God Coffin and had followed it this far.
Boom…
After pausing briefly, the Heavenly God Coffin suddenly moved again, heading straight towards the dense, unfathomable fog.
An immensely terrifying energy pressure radiated from the stone coffin, instantly causing a terrifying spatial collapse across this barren void.
Startled, Ye Yunfei immediately ordered his flying ship to retreat a great distance. Everyone else also scrambled back.
"I understand now. The Heavenly God Coffin does indeed want to leave our void. This is the edge. It wants to breach an opening in front!" Hun Lao suddenly guessed the coffin's purpose, transmitting his thoughts to Ye Yunfei.
"That's very possible," Ye Yunfei nodded.
Right then…
"The Heavenly God Coffin… truly lives up to its name."
A resonant voice echoed from the distant void. Its immense volume rolled through the emptiness, stirring up towering waves.
The next moment, the crowd watched as an elderly man strode forth. His appearance was plain, yet his body radiated a surging, brilliant divine light. Wherever he stepped, time and space seemed to freeze, forcibly stilled.
It was as though all energy and laws centered upon him! He carried an overwhelming aura, as if he were a monarch descending upon the world, taking control of the entire scene!
"No way… Has this guy actually become a Deity? That Heavenly God Hall Ancestor… achieved Divinity!" Seeing the old man, the Golden-Horned Dragon Silkworm was the first to shout, clearly displeased.
"Correct. He's that very ancestor who was undergoing tribulation at the Heavenly God Hall headquarters last time. So he successfully became a Deity," Ye Yunfei recognized the old man at a glance. He was indeed the ancestor undergoing tribulation back then.
Last time, due to the emergence of the Third Ancestor's energy body from the Heavenly God Hall, Ye Yunfei hadn't witnessed the final outcome of this ancestor's tribulation. Later, he heard no related news, so he never knew this individual had successfully ascended to Deity.
"So the Heavenly God Hall now has an actual Deity!" Ye Yunfei was inwardly shocked.
"The Heavenly God Hall is likely planning significant moves next. The Three Thousand Worlds and Alliance Army, and us… we'll all be targets. This faction has never been content with staying out of the fray," Hun Lao said helplessly.
"What is he doing here?" Ye Yunfei frowned, watching the Heavenly God Hall Ancestor.
"We pay our respects to the Ancestor!"
At that moment, over a dozen Heavenly God Hall experts rushed forward excitedly, kneeling to pay homage.
These experts had also followed the Heavenly God Coffin all the way to this location.
"All of you, rise." The Heavenly God Hall Ancestor gestured slightly, lifting his fellow sect members to their feet with an invisible force. Then, with great strides, he advanced towards the Heavenly God Coffin.
Each step covered a mind-boggling span of space-time. In an instant, he was upon the Heavenly God Coffin.
"Today, I will personally open the famed Heavenly God Coffin and see what lies within," the Heavenly God Hall Ancestor said calmly.
