"During my divining, I faintly glimpsed some scenes of the future. Though blurry, in those scenes, our Guardian Faction seemed to face a great calamity, with many terrifying enemies targeting us.
Among those terrifying enemies, some came from beyond the Domain, others from the Eight Void Fragments of the Chaotic Void Sea.
I saw a figure whose aura bore some resemblance to the fellow I've been tracking recently.
In those future scenes I saw, that fellow soared into the sky, accompanied by one enormous solar sun after another, hunting down members of our Guardian Faction everywhere. Countless of our members were incinerated into ash, into nothingness, by the raging flames that swept past.
However, those images were far too fuzzy. I'm not entirely certain if what I saw matches my description, as part of what I've said is conjecture based on my own deductions.
I spent a long time deducing these details from those unclear fragmentary scenes."
The old Wizard organized his thoughts, then spoke.
"So, the terrifying opponent you speak of could very well be the murderer who killed two of our Guardian Faction's True Gods recently."
The Prison Master listened to the old Wizard's words, his brows slightly furrowed.
"Yes. Because I believe I saw, in the future scenes, that fellow single-handedly punch our Guardian Faction's Sixth Void headquarters into ruins, reducing everyone there to souls lost to his fists."
The old Wizard said in a grave voice.
He recalled the fuzzy glimpses of the future he saw during his divination, cold sweat uncontrollably trickling down his forehead. In those scenes, the Guardian Faction suffered heavy casualties, nearly annihilated.
If this truly was the future of the Guardian Faction, it would be unacceptable to every member.
"However, I cannot be certain, for the scenes I divined were indeed far too blurry. I do not know if the content truly matches my deductions. Perhaps I am worrying unnecessarily."
The old Wizard said.
"Regardless, that fellow caused the deaths of two of our Guardian Faction's True Gods. This debt must be settled with him.
Spread the order: that fellow must be found!
I truly want to know which faction's member dares to kill our Guardian Faction's True Gods!"
The Prison Master declared.
"Right, divine for us the most opportune time for our Guardian Faction to launch a full-scale operation in the Sixth Void."
The Prison Master added.
"Understood. I will focus on divining this aspect next."
The old Wizard nodded.
"You must continue probing for that fellow, see if you can locate him.
The fact that this guy killed two of our True Gods speaks to his considerable strength.
If we don't eliminate this threat promptly, our Guardian Faction may lose even more True Gods in the future."
The Prison Master emphasized.
"Rest assured, Prison Master. I understand."
The old Wizard nodded, then turned and departed.
At the same time, in a space separated by countless spatial distances from the Sixth Void, there existed a continent radiating with dazzling divine light.
Above this continent hovered a multitude of rainbows, each a different color, emanating distinct auras.
The densely packed, brilliant rainbows floating across the continent's sky bathed the entire land in their resplendent radiance, illuminating it in perpetual light.
On this continent, there was no distinction between day and night, only eternal divine light bathing the earth.
In the central region of this continent lay a mountainous area. Within this area nestled a scenic valley where crisp birdsong echoed, wildflowers carpeted the ground, and butterflies and bees flitted amidst the blooms. Occasionally, a small white rabbit would dart from the roadside, and squirrels leapt playfully among the pine trees...
Entering this valley calmed the heart.
Hidden amidst the forest within the valley was a two-story small building. From afar, only a single upturned eaves corner of the structure was visible.
At this moment, by the window in a room on the second floor, a woman with a graceful figure sat before a mirror, applying her makeup.
This woman gave a very strange impression. From a distance, one could tell she was a stunning beauty. Yet her entire form was enveloped by a hazy, dreamlike law, making her specific features unclear, wavering between reality and illusion, seemingly perceptible yet indescribable in true detail.
The woman's motions were slow and meticulous as she tended to her appearance. Standing beside her was a tall, handsome man with features like carved jade, gazing affectionately at the woman as she slowly primped.
"Ruo Lan, you seem to be in a good mood today, making yourself so beautiful. Later, I'll accompany you for a walk in the valley. The weather has warmed up lately, and the valley's wildflowers are blooming more profusely. The scenery is quite nice."
After a moment, the man said with deep affection.
"Xiao Lang, truly, you need not stay with me.
Given your capabilities, constantly accompanying me in this Small World is a waste for you. Your world should not be here. The outside has vaster heavens and earth awaiting you. The time you've wasted on me has already exceeded a thousand years. Why do this?"
The woman, hearing his words, stopped her makeup, slowly placed the exquisite wooden comb on the table, and spoke.
"No, being by your side is for me the happiest, most fulfilling days. How can that be called waste?
No matter how vast the outside world, without you, it holds no meaning for me."
The man responded immediately, his gaze deeply affectionate as he looked at her.
"In the past, you not only shook the Chaotic Void Sea with your might, but also forged a formidable reputation in other Void Seas. Yet because of me, you've remained confined to this insignificant Small World for so long. These years have indeed wronged you."
Hearing his words, the woman showed a grateful expression, sighed lightly, and spoke again.
"Ruo Lan, please don't think this way. Staying here with you is not a wronging for me; in truth, it is the life I most desire."
The man said hastily.
"Alright, let's not speak of this topic. For now, I'll accompany you for a stroll in the valley.
In truth, not just our valley, many places outside have beautiful scenery lately, because Spring has come to this continent. It's the season with the most beautiful scenery, worth our careful appreciation."
The man quickly changed the subject.
"Very well, let's take that walk then."
The woman, unwilling to dampen his mood, nodded.
Soon after, the two descended the stairs and began strolling through the valley, appreciating the spring scenery.
"By the way, how fares the situation in the Chaotic Void Sea now?"
Midway through their walk, the woman suddenly asked.
The man's body stiffened slightly.
"The situation in the Chaotic Void Sea is much the same as before. It has already split into the Eight Void Fragments."
The man answered after a pause.
"The Guardian Faction you established must have developed quite well within the Eight Void Fragments of the Chaotic Void Sea, no?"
The woman asked again.
"I am not entirely sure. Because I haven't involved myself in the Guardian Faction's affairs for many years now."
The man answered hesitantly.
"I know you still harbor resentment. But after all, we both hail from the Chaotic Void Sea. It is our homeland. If your anger subsides, then spare that Void.
If you destroy our homeland, we will have no place to return to in the future."
The woman spoke.
"Ruo Lan, don't worry. The Chaotic Void Sea will always be there. For the Chaotic Void Sea itself bears no sin. The true guilt lies with those beings inhabiting that Void Sea."
The man spoke, his tone carrying a note of coldness.
"Xiao Lang, why must you do this?
After all these years, the resentment in your heart still hasn't dissipated. In truth, that was my own choice back then, it has little to do with those innocent beings in the Chaotic Void Sea."
The woman said softly.
"Innocent!
And what about the two of us? Aren't we innocent as well?
If innocent people need not suffer, then why must we two innocents endure such torment?"
The man suddenly showed a flash of anger.
Seeing this, the woman sighed softly and did not press further.
Then the man and woman walked arm-in-arm through the valley, admiring the brilliant wildflowers carpeting the ground.
Suddenly, the man's expression shifted, having received a transmission. With a thought, a jade slip on his person glowed faintly, and he read a segment of information from it.
"Strike sooner. Conduct a thorough cleansing."
After reading the message, the man used the jade slip to send out a transmission. Then he resumed accompanying the woman in their valley stroll.
While this couple strolled in the valley, in a world far across time and space, atop a towering mountain peak, there stood a pavilion. Within the pavilion were a stone table and two stone chairs.
At this moment, two elderly men sat upon the stone chairs. A Go board lay open on the table, and the two elders were engrossed in their game, attended by a young acolyte.
"Masters, the matter has been investigated. We have located the world where that man is currently secluding himself. He is indeed with that woman. However, it seems the woman cannot leave that world.
According to our investigation, the two of them have been secluded in that world for over a thousand years, not stepping beyond it even once."
Suddenly, a tall, imposing middle-aged man descended through the air, entered the pavilion, and reported respectfully.
"Does Liu Ruolan still possess the Nine Revolutions Chaos Exquisite Heart?"
One of the elders placed a piece on the Go board, then slowly asked.
"Masters, I did not enter that world. Because I feared detection by those two. If detected by them, I would have no chance of escape."
The middle-aged man said.
"That's understandable. That Xiao fellow's strength is indeed considerable. Even if we two old ones intervened, we might not necessarily defeat him. Otherwise, we wouldn't have let him run amok back then.
A perfectly good Chaotic Void Sea was ruined into its current state by him."
The other elder said.
"Speaking of which, those two are also pitiable. But that Xiao fellow vented his pitiable fate's suffering onto all beings of the Chaotic Void Sea, committing countless atrocities.
Every account has its settlement. I will eventually settle this debt with him."
One elder declared.
"Also, I have learned that within the Eight Void Fragments of the Chaotic Void Sea, the Guardian Faction's power grows stronger, gradually suppressing all other forces. If this continues, the Chaotic Void Sea will be ruled by the Guardian Faction.
According to intelligence from our spies planted within the Guardian Faction, the Guardian Faction may conduct a major cleansing of all beings in the Chaotic Void Sea. They might even slaughter the majority of the populace, leaving only the weakest, lowliest beings."
The middle-aged man added.
"It seems the resentment in that Xiao fellow's heart hasn't subsided. He still vents his fury on the beings of the Chaotic Void Sea. His actions are truly excessive. We must stop him, otherwise countless innocent beings of the Chaotic Void Sea will suffer."
One elder said with a frown.
"I think, since that Xiao fellow could establish a Guardian Faction within the Chaotic Void Sea, we can also establish a faction to oppose the Guardian Faction. Let us establish a faction to nurture their strength within the Chaotic Void Sea.
Our strength and foundation are no worse than that Xiao fellow. If he could develop the Guardian Faction to its current level, the faction we establish can also reach such heights."
The other elder proposed.
"Entrust this task to you. The foundations we left in the Chaotic Void Sea are long overdue to see the light of day again."
The elder finished speaking, his gaze turning to the middle-aged man.
"Be at ease, Masters. I will undertake this immediately."
The middle-aged man bowed respectfully, then turned and took a single step, leaving this world. Then he traversed time and space, soon arriving in one of the Void Fragments of the Chaotic Void Sea, beginning preparations as commanded by the two elders.
Meanwhile, on Xuanhuang Continent, Ye Yunfei continued his secluded cultivation within the Phantom Tower.
During this session, Ye Yunfei had the Nine Divine Beasts of his Nine Palates Totem Wheel consume a vast quantity of cultivation resources. The strength of these beasts improved dramatically in a short period.
"I feel the current strength of your Nine Divine Beasts already surpasses any Perfected Void God, approaching infinitely close to the True God realm."
Hun Lao sensed the energy aura emanating from the Nine Divine Beasts and couldn't help but speak out.
"That's about right. Next, I'll provide them with even more cultivation resources. I believe it won't be long before these Nine Divine Beasts possess True God-level combat power."
Ye Yunfei nodded.
