"So what?"
"What do you mean 'so what'?"
Gu Qingfeng's casual question left Da Xing the Mad Monk utterly bewildered. He shouted, "While those mysterious existences haven't made a move yet, we should hurry and escape!"
"Escape?" Gu Qingfeng replied indifferently. "Escape to where? And where would we flee?"
"Anywhere is better than staying here!"
"I say, Da Xing, you're the one who tricked me into coming here, and now you're the one telling me to leave. If you keep changing your tune like this, how can we keep playing together in the future?"
"Kid Gu! Ancestor Gu! This old monk knows he was wrong! Please, with your magnanimity, don't hold it against this petty monk, alright? If you die here, this old monk won't survive either! Save yourself, and by extension, save me too. Even if not for my sake, think about yourself!"
Da Xing the Mad Monk pleaded bitterly, his only wish now to beg Gu Qingfeng to leave this place.
Compared to his anxious state, Gu Qingfeng appeared much calmer, his demeanor casual and unhurried. "Da Xing, I don't know exactly why you tricked me into coming here, or what little scheme you're cooking up. Those are your affairs. I don't know, and I don't want to know."
Gu Qingfeng took out a jar of fine wine, tilted his head back for a few gulps, then patted Da Xing the Mad Monk on the shoulder. "If I hadn't entered, that would be one thing. But since I'm already here, whether I leave or not is no longer up to you."
"You brat..." Da Xing the Mad Monk was about to say something when suddenly—BOOM!
A violent sound erupted, shaking the entire Primordial Black Hole into chaos.
What was happening?
Da Xing the Mad Monk didn't know, and neither did Gu Qingfeng. The only thing they knew was that the tremendous noise came from below the Primordial Black Hole. Without another word, Gu Qingfeng tossed the jar of wine in his hand to Da Xing the Mad Monk and vanished in a flash.
"Kid Gu! Where are you going? Wait for this old monk!"
Discovering Gu Qingfeng's sudden disappearance, Da Xing the Mad Monk hurriedly gave chase. However, the current Gu Qingfeng had already grasped the mysteries of the Great Dao's space. Not only could he navigate freely within the Primordial Black Hole, but he could also merge with the various chaotic currents. The moment Gu Qingfeng vanished, he was gone without a trace. Where could Da Xing the Mad Monk possibly search? Cursing under his breath, he could only steel himself and head downwards to look.
The tremendous noise continued incessantly, as if emanating from the very source of the Primordial Black Hole, shaking the entire realm into increasing chaos. The various chaotic currents transformed unpredictably along with the turmoil, sometimes elongating into linear spatial currents, sometimes shaping into rectangular flows, elliptical forms, and so on—all changing without any discernible pattern.
Gu Qingfeng had originally wondered if he could find the source of the Primordial Black Hole. Unfortunately, after searching for a long time, he found nothing. The Primordial Black Hole was like a boundless, endless abyss. He searched for a long while more, but still could not locate its source.
BOOM—The tremendous noise kept coming.
The Primordial Black Hole grew increasingly chaotic, with numerous currents intertwining and even merging together.
Current after current fused, like wave upon wave combining to form a larger wave.
Immediately after, Gu Qingfeng noticed something strange. Not only were the currents deep within the Primordial Black Hole merging, but even the currents above were fusing with each other. Looking carefully, it seemed as if all the chaotic currents within the entire Primordial Black Hole were merging together.
Even more bizarrely, the merged currents gradually began to form swirling vortexes of chaos.
In just a short while, chaotic current vortexes were everywhere, densely packed, countless and endless.
What the hell was this situation now?
BOOM—The tremendous noise sounded again.
The Primordial Black Hole grew more chaotic by the moment, and the emerging chaotic current vortexes multiplied. Each vortex resembled an abyss, or a miniature black hole.
After a moment's thought, Gu Qingfeng picked a random chaotic current vortex and charged into it.
The moment he entered, he was immediately swept in. Moreover, the impact of the currents within this vortex was even more intense and frenzied than the chaotic currents outside in the Primordial Black Hole.
Fortunately, Gu Qingfeng had already grasped the mysteries of the Great Dao's space, and the acupoints and meridians of his physical body were fully opened. Otherwise, being swept into this chaotic current vortex, while it might not crush him, would definitely not be a pleasant experience.
The vortex's flow was rapid, but Gu Qingfeng pressed forward courageously. As he ventured deeper, he felt the vortex growing increasingly narrower. Recalling how he had previously used his acupoints to manifest an endless multitude of chaotic current vortexes, Gu Qingfeng felt both shock and delight. Because the narrower the vortex, the closer he was to its source.
If he couldn't find the end of the Primordial Black Hole, finding the end of this chaotic current vortex would suffice.
As the vortex grew narrower, Gu Qingfeng gradually held his breath and grew cautious.
After all, this was the Primordial Black Hole, a place with too many mysterious and unknown existences. Who knew what the hell had caused that tremendous noise earlier? After the Primordial Black Hole descended into chaos, the various currents inexplicably merged together, and then so many chaotic current vortexes appeared—this situation was definitely not normal.
Gu Qingfeng pondered: Could these chaotic current vortexes have been manifested by someone else, just as he had done earlier?
It was hard to say, and saying it was hard.
If that were truly the case, then the existence responsible would undoubtedly be terrifyingly powerful.
After Gu Qingfeng opened his acupoints and meridians, although the power of his roar could scatter chaotic currents, it was only within a small range. One must remember that the earlier tremendous noise had violently affected the entire Primordial Black Hole.
And while he had grasped the mysteries of the Great Dao's space and could also manifest chaotic current vortexes, causing turmoil across the entire Primordial Black Hole was beyond his current abilities.
Of course.
Just because he couldn't do it didn't mean others couldn't.
Finally.
Gu Qingfeng had a feeling that he had been swept to the very end of the vortex.
Immediately after, the vortex disappeared. Not only the vortex, but the chaotic currents vanished as well.
Before he could understand what was happening, Gu Qingfeng suddenly plummeted into a strange place.
This place resembled a forgotten space. There was no cycle of sun and moon, no balance of yin and yang or the five elements. Everywhere was pitch black.
Looking up, the sky seemed to be slowly rotating, like a whirlpool eye, drawing in numerous chaotic currents.
Seeing this scene, Gu Qingfeng grew even more curious. Could it be that the many vortexes that appeared after the Primordial Black Hole was thrown into chaos weren't artificially manifested, but were formed by being swept into this forgotten space?
If this chaotic current vortex was formed by being swept into the forgotten space, then did the many chaotic current vortexes appearing in the Primordial Black Hole share the same origin? Were they all formed by being swept into forgotten spaces?
Unclear.
Gu Qingfeng initially wanted to charge out and see if the other emerging chaotic current vortexes were the same. After some thought, he decided there was no rush. Since he was here, he might as first figure out what this place was all about.
Descending from the air, the ground below was desert. The desert stretched like a sea; a light step would sink him in. Gu Qingfeng leaped up again, casting his gaze into the distance. Good heavens, this space actually contained a boundless, endless desert.
