Gu Qingfeng deliberately concealed himself, hiding within the formless void, then quietly slipped over to watch the spectacle.
The battle looked intense.
Dust billowed, swirling through the air.
Two mangled corpses already lay in the desert, along with scattered limbs and chunks of flesh. In the distance, four figures looked utterly wretched—pale-faced, disheveled, and covered in blood. One of them had lost an arm. All seemed severely injured, their spiritual power faint and flickering, clearly depleted and unable to fight any longer.
Even so, the four dared not let their guard down. They huddled together, gripping their magical treasures tightly, staring fixedly at the sky above.
In mid-air, two figures were locked in fierce combat.
One was a gray-robed elder wielding a flying sword, brandishing profound Daoist sword techniques with each move. Every strike was profoundly mysterious and wondrous, layers of profundity raining down like a violent storm.
This was yet another great Dao expert who had attained the Profound Mystery Realm, and his cultivation was unfathomably deep. He was likely an ancestral patriarch from some major power.
Yet, such a powerful patriarch was currently being beaten by his opponent without any chance to fight back.
The person battling the patriarch stood four to five meters tall—fat, tall, and burly, like a giant. He wielded two meteor hammers, smashing them down in a frenzy.
This giant also looked extremely disheveled. Not only was he disheveled and grimy, but the immortal armor and robes on his body were also tattered, with bloody wounds visible on his back and chest.
Gu Qingfeng could tell this giant was also severely injured. Though he appeared fierce and mighty, his spiritual power was clearly exhausted, relying entirely on his formidable physical body to hold on.
This giant's physical body was extraordinary. It was not an immortal body, but a transformed body.
That's right!
The giant was not an immortal, nor was he a human. He was a demon who had transformed into human form, and one with an extraordinary bloodline at that.
In Gu Qingfeng's memory, the physical bodies of demonic path experts were indeed formidable, but that was usually true only for their original, true forms. Especially those with extraordinary bloodlines, like descendant bloodlines—their original forms could be absurdly powerful. However, he had rarely heard of a demonic path expert's transformed human body being this formidable as well, unless it had been tempered with some exceptional treasure.
Gu Qingfeng released his divine sense, intending to probe the mysteries of this demon's transformed human body. As soon as his divine sense swept over it, he was quite surprised to find that this demon not only possessed an extraordinary bloodline but also bore a Heavenly Mandate.
It was an Ancient Heavenly Mandate Throne.
So, this was actually a Monster King?
No wonder he was so powerful.
Wait.
Why did this fellow look so familiar?
Gu Qingfeng focused his divine sense for a careful probe and couldn't help but be utterly shocked. Damn it!
This broad-shouldered, thick-waisted fellow was actually an old acquaintance—the Black Pig Monster King!
Perhaps it was too unexpected, making it hard to believe. He probed again carefully and was certain: this was none other than the Black Pig Monster King.
This truly astonished Gu Qingfeng. He never imagined he would run into an acquaintance here in these Primordial ruins.
Back when he saw the Black Pig Monster King in Lingluo Realm, he had been under constant surveillance by the Three Thousand Great Daos and various major powers. The situation on the scene hadn't allowed for a proper reunion, so he hadn't been able to chat properly with the Black Pig Monster King. He never expected they would meet again here so soon.
What puzzled Gu Qingfeng, though, was how the Black Pig Monster King had appeared in these Primordial ruins?
And what about the nine elders he encountered earlier, and these people currently fighting the Black Pig Monster King?
Where had they all come from?
And how had they entered these Primordial ruins?
Could something major have happened back in the Great Wilderness?
He didn't know.
Gu Qingfeng wasn't in a hurry. He could just ask the Black Pig Monster King after the fight.
In mid-air.
The battle between the gray-robed elder and the Black Pig Monster King grew increasingly fierce. The Black Pig Monster King, wielding his two meteor hammers, pounded at the gray-robed elder like a madman. Even though the gray-robed elder was a patriarch who had attained the Profound Mystery Realm, he was now forced into retreat under the Black Pig Monster King's ferocious assault.
Gu Qingfeng could see that the gray-robed elder was holding back. He wasn't truly incapable of defeating the Black Pig Monster King but was merely defending.
"Black Pig Monster King! Our Violet Mist Immortal Realm has no grievance with you. Why have you attacked us so viciously!"
"No grievance? Hahahaha!"
The Black Pig Monster King let out a harsh, cold laugh, looking utterly enraged. He roared, "Do you know how I got these injuries? They were given to me by that little bastard from your Violet Mist Immortal Realm who calls himself some damned Heavenly Chief!"
"What! You've met our Violet Mist Immortal Realm's Heavenly Chief?"
"Don't you fucking play dumb with me!"
The Black Pig Monster King swung his meteor hammer directly, sending the gray-robed elder flying through the air.
In the shadows.
Gu Qingfeng watched like a spectator enjoying a show, sipping his wine as he observed.
He had heard of the Violet Mist Immortal Realm. It was another major power, renowned since ancient times, influential throughout the Great Wilderness and the myriad realms.
Learning that the Black Pig Monster King had been beaten into such a state by someone from the Violet Mist Immortal Realm actually amused Gu Qingfeng.
Amused, he also felt quite curious. Based on his understanding of the Black Pig Monster King, this fellow's strength wasn't weak. After so many years, he should have grown quite powerful. After all, he possessed a descendant bloodline and bore the Monster King's Throne. Ordinary opponents shouldn't be a match for him. Plus, this guy was always underhanded and treacherous, and his escape skills were top-notch. Even if he couldn't win a fight, he'd never suffer a loss.
He wondered who this so-called Heavenly Chief from the Violet Mist Immortal Realm was, to have beaten the Black Pig Monster King into such a state.
On the battlefield.
The gray-robed elder pointed his flying sword angrily at the Black Pig Monster King and shouted harshly, "Black Pig Monster King! I have shown restraint out of consideration for your severe injuries. Since you press your advantage, do not blame me for showing no mercy!"
With a cold snort, and without any visible movement, he raised his hand. A stone-like object appeared in his palm. He tossed it casually, and the stone bloomed with dazzling golden light in mid-air, transforming into a colossal mountain.
The mountain's imposing aura was astonishing, containing surging power. As it descended, it was like the sky collapsing.
With a thunderous crash!
The Black Pig Monster King couldn't dodge in time and could only brace with both arms. Unfortunately, his injuries were too severe, his spiritual energy depleted. The strength of his physical body simply couldn't hold.
"You damned bastards! Today, I'll tear you all to pieces!"
The Black Pig Monster King roared, and vast demonic energy swept forth, blotting out the sky. His body, already four to five meters tall, swelled even larger, transforming into a monstrous creature dozens of meters tall!
After transforming, the Black Pig Monster King no longer had a human face or form. Instead, he now had the face of a pig on a humanoid body. The hair all over his body stood on end, each strand like a terrifying giant spike. His pair of tusks were particularly sinister and frightening.
This was the Black Pig Monster King's original, true form. Not only was his body massive, but his imposing aura was also terrifyingly vast, his demonic energy soaring to the heavens.
With both hands, he lifted the mountain pressing down on him. Baring his teeth in a roar, he hurled the mountain straight at the gray-robed elder!
