Roar—! The dark, evil dragon roared, bellowed, coiled, tore, and bared its fangs and claws.
Its savage dark power seemed capable of devouring everything!
Its terrifying Original Sin power seemed capable of destroying everything!
Its domineering Heavenly Dragon power seemed capable of intimidating everything!
Under the entanglement of the dark evil dragon and the onslaught of the dark, evil Original Sin power, the radiance of the Taixu Sword Formation had long since vanished without a trace. The profound and mysterious runes on the formation had all scattered. The Taixu Sword Formation, which had originally resembled a sword peak, now twisted and blurred, swaying like smoke, as if it could dissipate and vanish at any moment.
Strangely, no matter how the dark evil dragon roared and bellowed, and no matter how the dark, evil Original Sin power surged, the Taixu Sword Formation remained there, swaying like smoke. It could neither be shattered by force nor dispersed by blows, as if it contained a supreme and profound mystery.
To the side.
The two Great Dao Thrones, the three Great Dao Star Lords, and the more than twenty Original Sin Manifestation Bodies watched this scene with faces full of confusion. They all knew how terrifying the dark evil dragon summoned by the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor was. They had all witnessed how, in the past, the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor had summoned this dark evil dragon to devour hundreds of Golden-Body Arhats from the Western Paradise Buddhist Realm, and even a Bodhisattva had ultimately been unable to escape.
Precisely because they knew of the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor's dark evil dragon, they had all retreated when he summoned it.
They had originally thought that once the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor summoned the dark evil dragon, it would inevitably break through this damned Taixu Sword Formation.
But what they never expected was that just as the Taixu Sword Formation seemed about to be broken, such a strange scene occurred. It was as if, after beating the opponent to the brink of death, they simply couldn't finish them off—no matter how they tried to kill, the opponent always clung to that last breath.
This left them utterly perplexed.
And it wasn't just them.
The Heavenly Dragon True Emperor himself was also deeply frowning, his gaze fixed on the Taixu Sword Formation swaying like smoke under the entanglement of the dark evil dragon.
He was not only exceptionally talented and blessed with profound fortune, but his comprehension was also extraordinary. Though his cultivation time might not be long, his insights into the Great Dao surpassed even those of many seniors who had cultivated for countless years. Otherwise, he would not have successfully cultivated his Original Sin Dharmakaya.
To be honest.
When Elder Tongbei activated the Taixu Sword Formation, he had immediately recognized its extraordinary profundity.
This was precisely why he had not taken action earlier.
He had been contemplating the Taixu Sword Formation, trying to comprehend it thoroughly. Only by fully understanding it could he break it with a single strike.
Unfortunately, after contemplating for a long time, he had still failed to fully comprehend the Taixu Sword Formation. Not only had he failed to grasp it completely, he hadn't even managed to understand it clearly. Moreover, the more he contemplated, the more he could sense the formation's immense power.
After a moment.
The Heavenly Dragon True Emperor closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Without any visible movement from him, the dark evil dragon let out a furious roar, emitting waves of dragon cries, then rushed into his body and vanished, as if it had never appeared.
The Heavenly Dragon True Emperor had given up.
At least, for now, he had abandoned the idea of forcibly breaking the formation.
It is widely known.
That all formations between heaven and earth, no matter how profound and mysterious, can be forcibly broken as long as one's power is sufficiently strong.
However.
The prerequisite is that your power must be strong enough—strong enough to completely overwhelm the formation.
If that level is not reached, and you still try to break the formation by force, then as long as you have perseverance, you can gradually exhaust the formation's core array eye and still break it.
It's just that throughout history, few have chosen to do this. No one is foolish enough to use their own cultivation base to deplete a formation's array eye, especially with powerful formations. Even if you exhaust all your cultivation, it might still be futile.
This was precisely the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor's current situation. Although his strength was already formidable, it was not yet formidable enough to completely overwhelm the Taixu Sword Formation. If he forced the issue, aside from depleting his own power, there would be no benefit whatsoever.
Within the area.
The Taixu Sword Formation still swayed in the void like smoke.
Inside the formation lay the eight Taixu Grotto elders who had already fallen unconscious. The Life-Transformation Sword, fused with Elder Tongbei, floated at the center of the formation.
This scene looked very strange.
Like a stick of incense burning.
Truly so.
The floating Life-Transformation Sword resembled the incense stick, and the Taixu Sword Formation, like a wisp of smoke, resembled the threadlike rising incense smoke.
The two Great Dao Thrones, the three Great Dao Star Lords, and the others looked at each other, wide-eyed and bewildered. They all turned their gazes toward the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor, opening their mouths but not daring to say anything, not even daring to ask a question.
Just then, someone noticed something amiss. Looking up, they were startled to see a group of people flying toward them from the distant void.
It was a group of monks.
There were both deeply enlightened Buddhas and Golden-Body Arhats, a grand procession of twenty or thirty in total.
At the forefront were three individuals.
One was an old monk wearing a golden Buddha crown and draped in a star-and-moon kasaya.
This old monk held a golden alms bowl in one hand and a nine-ringed golden staff in the other. His earlobes were long, and his eyes were wide with anger, as if they could see through all demons and monsters in the world.
Seeing this old monk, the expressions of those beside the Heavenly Dragon True Emperor changed slightly, including the two Great Dao Thrones and the three Great Dao Star Lords.
They all recognized this monk. He was a senior monk and elder from the Pure Land Sect, one of the eight major sects of the Western Paradise Buddhism. He was also a renowned Buddha and senior monk in the Great Wastelands, and the dreaded Nine Precepts Dharma King who made countless demons and monsters tremble in fear.
In the Western Paradise Buddhist Realm, 'Dharma King' is a highly esteemed title.
Throughout history, only those with profound Buddhist Dharma and who have made great contributions to the Western Paradise are honored with the title of Dharma King.
It is no exaggeration to say that in the Western Paradise Buddhist Realm, every Dharma King is without exception a generation's great senior monk. Not only is their Buddhist Dharma profound, but their cultivation and strength are also immensely powerful. Their status is noble, and they are all figures in power within the eight Buddhist sects.
This Nine Precepts Dharma King was one of them.
It is said that as early as the Primordial Age, the Nine Precepts Dharma King vowed to eradicate all demons and monsters between heaven and earth. Over the years, from the Primordial Age through the Ancient Age and the Antiquity Age, right up to the Present Age, the number of demons and monsters that have died by his hand is beyond counting.
Beside the Nine Precepts Dharma King stood a giant monk nearly three meters tall.
This great monk wore only a simple monk's robe, a string of fist-sized prayer beads around his neck, and held two gleaming golden wheels in his hands. His face was flushed red, and his Buddhist aura was as thick and powerful as raging waves.
This person was an Arhat, and moreover, a Vajra Arhat.
He was also one of the Twelve Indestructible Vajras under the seat of the Western Buddha Emperor, Miao Rulai.
He was known as the Red-Faced Vajra.
Beside the Red-Faced Vajra stood another person.
Not a monk.
But a handsome youth in white robes whose gender was difficult to discern at a glance.
The white-robed youth had his hands clasped behind his back, a faint smile playing on his lips. An aura of profound and mysterious Buddhist light, like a halo, emanated from his body. His eyes seemed capable of perceiving all things in the world. He appeared especially sacred, like a divine messenger of light.
They all recognized this white-robed youth. He was one of the Eight Wonderful Dharma Bodhisattvas under the seat of the Western Buddha Emperor, Miao Rulai—the Bodhisattva of Pure Robes.
