Within the void.
All manner of creations and magical treasures were equally countless. These creations and treasures grew increasingly bizarre and profound—swords as large as mountain peaks, cauldrons as massive as mountain ranges, pagodas towering like celestial pillars. There were seven-colored auspicious clouds and flying gourds; some hung in the sky like the Great Sun, while others shimmered with faint moonlight like a full moon, or twinkled like stars.
The variety of magical treasures was endless, their wonders enough to make one gasp in astonishment and marvel.
Magical treasures could be large or small—as vast as the sun and moon, or as tiny as a speck of dust.
Even a single flower or blade of grass could be a world unto itself, let alone those Great Dao magical treasures refined from countless precious and rare purifications. Although Gu Qingfeng neither liked nor was accustomed to using magical treasures, he had seen countless treasures in his lifetime. All sorts of strange and wondrous treasures existed in bewildering variety; there was nothing you couldn't imagine that some master couldn't forge.
Regarding magical treasures, there was a famous saying: all things can be refined.
Its meaning: everything between heaven and earth could be refined into a magical treasure.
Leaving aside those who refined living people into zombie puppets, Gu Qingfeng had even once seen an old demon refine an entire world into his own magical treasure.
Magical treasures were not to be underestimated. Some powerful treasures could annihilate all living beings in a world with a snap of the fingers. Even more formidable treasures could overturn heaven and earth, devour the sky and swallow the land—and that was no exaggeration.
Take, for instance, that Sacred Ground's Sacred Son, Xuanyuan Hao, from earlier. The Sacred Judgment Bow and Great Sun Judgment Arrows in his hands were peerless Great Dao magical treasures. Otherwise, a single arrow wouldn't have reduced Patriarch Green Robe to ashes on the spot.
Legend had it that each of those supreme Great Dao treasures possessed the power to destroy heaven and earth. The God-Slaying Bow, Demon-Exterminating Arrows, Donghuang Bell, Xuanyuan Sword, Pangu Axe, Demon-Refining Pot, Haotian Pagoda, Shennong Cauldron, Kongtong Seal, Kunlun Mirror, and Nüwa Stone were all such artifacts.
It was said that the legendary Xuanyuan Sword was in the hands of Fusheng Dijun, hailed as the hero of the current era.
Speaking of Fusheng Dijun, Gu Qingfeng had crossed paths with him twice within the Primordial Ancient Black Hole.
The first time was at a ruin, the second amidst chaotic currents.
Though they hadn't spoken much during those two encounters, Fusheng Dijun had left a rather favorable impression on him.
He wondered if that fellow had come.
According to Gu Changfeng, besides Fusheng Dijun, Dairi Yaohuang, as well as Wu Sheng Xuanyuan Wuji representing the Sacred Dao, and Tian Jiang Dugu Qizhan representing the Heavenly Dao, would also come.
He didn't know if that was true or not.
If it were true, things would get lively indeed.
It was said that Dugu Qizhan was hailed as 'Equal to Heaven,' Xuanyuan Wuji as 'One Hand Shading Heaven,' Dairi Yaohuang as 'Illuminating All Under Heaven,' and Fusheng Dijun as 'Peerless Under Heaven.'
The four were hailed as the Four Pillars of Heaven and Earth Across the Ages, and some called them the Guardians of the Great Dao Across the Ages.
In the hearts of many, even the Sacred Ground would cease to be the Sacred Ground without Xuanyuan Wuji, and the Immortal Dao would be scattered like loose sand without Dairi Yaohuang at its helm.
Gu Qingfeng had little interest in those so-called Nine Sacred Sons of the Sacred Ground or the Nine Heavenly Sons of the Heavenly Dao, but he was quite intrigued by these Four Pillars of Heaven. If they came this time, he wanted to meet them.
Gazing at the dazzling array of magical treasures filling the sky, then looking at the countless Original Sin Dharmakayas gathered around the Li Palace vortex, Gu Qingfeng found it particularly amusing.
Although most of these Original Sin Dharmakayas used their divine abilities to shroud themselves, they weren't exactly hiding.
As for those Within the Great Dao, whether they had planned it in advance or were just remarkably synchronized, they had all hidden inside magical treasures.
Yes.
All of them!
Gu Qingfeng had just looked around; there truly wasn't a single person from the Great Dao outside.
He could understand all these Original Sin Dharmakayas gathering at the Li Palace vortex—they all wanted to seize the Li Palace Primordial Source.
But even if those Within the Great Dao weren't going to fight for the Li Palace Primordial Source, was there any need for them all to hide inside magical treasures?
Could it be that the Breath of Original Sin here was too dense and too pure, placing immense pressure on those Within the Great Dao?
In Gu Qingfeng's view, the dense, pure Breath of Original Sin here might affect those Within the Great Dao, but the effect shouldn't be that great. At the very least, it wouldn't be so severe they couldn't endure it, and it certainly wouldn't cause them to turn to ashes under its influence.
After all, those Within the Great Dao had been quite lively in the Li Palace void. Although the Breath of Original Sin in the Li Palace void wasn't as dense or pure as here, it wasn't far off. Since those Within the Great Dao could withstand the Breath of Original Sin in the Li Palace void, they certainly wouldn't be greatly affected here either.
Moreover, back in the Li Palace void, that Sacred Son Xuanyuan Hao from the Sacred Ground had not only covered the sky full of Breath of Original Sin with his powerful sacred radiance but had also illuminated countless Original Sin Retribution Bodies into nothingness.
That was proof enough that those Within the Great Dao probably weren't afraid of the Breath of Original Sin here.
Gu Qingfeng surmised that those Within the Great Dao hiding inside magical treasures was almost certainly premeditated. Knowing these Original Sin individuals would inevitably clash fiercely over the Li Palace Primordial Source, they were preparing to watch the tigers fight from the mountain, then reap the fisherman's profit.
Or perhaps it was exactly as Gu Changfeng had said: these people from the Great Dao were waiting for an opportunity to join forces and eradicate him.
That was fine too.
At least for Gu Qingfeng, it wasn't a bad thing. In fact, it was a good thing, saving him the trouble of fighting those Original Sin individuals today and then having to fight the Great Dao people tomorrow.
He had had a peculiar habit since childhood when it came to fighting: if he didn't act, fine; but once he did, he spared no one involved, dealing with them all in one fell swoop.
The reason was simple.
He disliked trouble, and he especially disliked endless trouble. If trouble arose, he would resolve it thoroughly, uprooting it completely.
Anyway, Gu Qingfeng was now rejected by heaven and earth. The Original Sin side eyed him covetously, fearing he would seize the True Lord of Original Sin, while the Great Dao side cautiously guarded against him, fearing he would ascend to become the True Lord of Original Sin.
Since neither heaven nor earth would tolerate him, since both the Great Dao and Original Sin sought to erase him, Gu Qingfeng might as well take this opportunity to kill to his heart's content.
As for whether he could kill them all, or whether he would be the one killed or destroyed in the end...
To be honest.
Gu Qingfeng didn't know.
He never considered such questions.
For him, once killing intent arose, slaughter dominated everything, and life and death were cast aside.
Just then.
A familiar voice reached Gu Qingfeng's ears.
"Kid Gu!
Damn it all!
This old monk has finally found you!"
Hearing that voice, Gu Qingfeng didn't need to look to know who it was.
It was a monk.
A monk wearing a tattered gray monk's robe, a tattered gray monk's hat, tattered gray monk's shoes on his feet, holding a tattered gray fan in his hand, his chest bared to reveal a round, bulging belly. His oily, plump face was creased with an inscrutable smile, his eyes narrowed into slits, grinning merrily, looking exactly like the legendary Maitreya Buddha.
Who else could it be but Daxing Dian Seng!
