This was a Divine Sense that resembled mist, wind, and rain—both ethereal and indistinct.
Gu Qingfeng had encountered this Divine Sense here before, and not just once.
Exactly how many people possessed fragments of Primordial Chaos, he didn't know. In his recollection, he had entered this space several times, yet he had only ever seen Su Hua's Divine Sense and this one. He had once overheard a conversation between the two of them, which suggested there were many more Divine Senses hidden here.
"It's you again!"
Clearly, the other party recognized Gu Qingfeng's Divine Sense.
A Divine Sense was a spiritual consciousness, invisible and intangible, only detectable through mental probing. It was an existence profound and wondrous, abstruse and mystical. This thing was difficult to conceal, and there was little point in trying. No matter how much one masked it, the unique spiritual awareness of each individual would not change.
"What of it?"
Gu Qingfeng retorted.
Communication between Divine Senses was simple; a tacit understanding sufficed.
"Who are you?"
The other party asked again.
"And who are you?"
Gu Qingfeng countered.
"I am someone from this place!"
The meaning conveyed by the other party surprised Gu Qingfeng.
What did 'someone from this place' mean?
This place was a fragment of Heaven and Earth from the Mysterious Era. She claimed to be from here. Could she be a person from the Mysterious Era?
That really was hard to say for sure.
Gu Qingfeng pondered finding an opportunity to secretly spy on her and laughed, "In that case, we could be considered fellow villagers."
"Oh? What do you mean?"
"You're from here, and I'm from here. What else would we be if not fellow villagers?"
"You are also from here?"
"Of course."
"Do you know what this place is?"
The other party was clearly probing, and Gu Qingfeng could easily tell. He again replied with 'of course'.
"Then tell me, what is this place?"
"Aren't you also from this place? Since that's the case, surely you know what this place is?"
"Of course I know. I just don't believe you know as well as I do."
"Don't believe me? Suit yourself!"
"Heh…" The other party chuckled but did not give up the chance to probe further, asking, "This is a very ancient place, am I right?"
"Of course."
"Oh? Then do you know how ancient it is?"
Gu Qingfeng responded nonchalantly, "So ancient that many have heard of it, but none have ever seen it. Is that correct?"
"Really? Then do you know why there is no sun or moon here?"
Gu Qingfeng replied, "Without Heaven and Earth, how could there be sun and moon?"
"Who told you there is no Heaven and Earth here?"
Gu Qingfeng pondered for a moment before responding, "A Heaven and Earth that has lost its origin and is incomplete, can it still be called Heaven and Earth?"
"You really do know!"
The other party seemed very surprised.
"I told you long ago I'm from here."
"You are not."
Hearing the other party's certainty, Gu Qingfeng grew curious. "What? Are you, then?"
"I am not either, but I have once met someone from this place."
This time, it was Gu Qingfeng's turn to be surprised. "Where? Here?"
"Right here."
The other party would ask a question after answering one, and this time was no exception. She asked again, "Where did you obtain the fragment in your hand?"
"I found it."
After answering, Gu Qingfeng also continued asking, "The person you met here, didn't you chat?"
"He's a madman!"
"A madman? How so?"
"You'll know when you see him. He'll come out on his own in a few days."
"Oh? How do you know?"
This time, the other party did not respond. And just then, another Divine Sense came speeding towards them. This Divine Sense was particularly sacred, sacred to the point of seeming inviolable, and extremely pure, pure as if untouched by a single speck of dust. It resembled a pure white, jade-like meteor streaking across the night sky, or a bright moon gently illuminating the world.
Seeing this Divine Sense, Gu Qingfeng smiled. He knew this was Su Hua's Divine Sense.
"It's you again!!"
"Tsk tsk, beautiful lady! Long time no see! How have you been lately!"
"I! Am! Very! Well!"
Su Hua responded word by word, seeming very angry.
Indeed.
Upon encountering Gu Qingfeng's overwhelmingly domineering, flame-like Divine Sense, Su Hua immediately recalled the incident from a few years ago.
A few years back, she remembered clearly, this Divine Sense had somehow silently followed her back to the outside world using some unknown method. If that were all, it wouldn't have been enough to anger Su Hua. The reality was that, at the time, she happened to be taking a bath, and her body was seen completely exposed by this fellow.
This filled her with fury!
And shame!
She swore she would definitely take revenge!! To track down this scoundrel!
A few years ago, she had finally managed to coax a location out of this fellow's mouth, claiming he was someone called Chi Jiu Ye from the Four Great Regions.
Su Hua had been quite pleased at the time, thinking she would surely make this fellow pay once she reached the Four Great Regions. Little did she expect that upon arriving there, she would discover she had ultimately been deceived. The entire Four Great Regions simply had no such person as Chi Jiu Ye.
Gu Qingfeng knew there was Karma between him and Su Hua, and this Karma might very well belong to a past life.
That wasn't important. What was important was that Su Hua's current identity was far too complicated; she possessed edicts from several Great Daos. Gu Qingfeng didn't want to get too entangled with such a person. Just as he was about to leave, Su Hua's voice came through.
"Halt!"
"What of it?"
"Didn't you swear up and down last time that you would meet me? Didn't you say you'd wait for me in the Four Great Regions? Why is it that when I went to the Four Great Regions and asked everyone, no one knew your name? Hmm? Chi Jiu Ye!"
"Oh, that was just to mess with you on purpose."
"You!"
Although she had already realized this fellow was deceiving her, and Su Hua had mentally accepted this fact, now hearing Gu Qingfeng say it so flippantly truly infuriated her. She berated, "You despicable scoundrel, just you wait! The day will come when you regret this!"
"Hahaha! Fine, I'll be waiting."
After laughing heartily, Gu Qingfeng departed arrogantly.
Watching Gu Qingfeng's Divine Sense swiftly disappear, Su Hua fumed inwardly, "Go ahead and laugh! Just wait until I find you, then we'll see if you can still laugh!!"
Because the communication between Su Hua and Gu Qingfeng was a direct exchange of spiritual consciousness, the content of their conversation was not known to the nearby Divine Sense that resembled mist, rain, and wind. After Gu Qingfeng's Divine Sense left, she said, "You seem very angry."
"No, I just find him irritating."
"Do you know who he is?"
"Not yet, but… I will soon. Let him be smug for a couple of days. Once I finish my current business, I will definitely settle the score with him!"
"Is that so? Hehe…" The Divine Sense that resembled mist, rain, and wind chuckled lightly. "What have you been busy with lately? Still occupied with Karma?"
"Aren't you?"
Su Hua and this Divine Sense were not acquainted, at least they had never met in person. However, to say they were complete strangers wasn't entirely accurate either, because the two of them had already known each other here for a very, very long time.
"I am also busy with Karma, but I'm different from you. You are searching for Karma, while I am waiting for Karma."
